DIY St. Patrick’s Day Shamrocks

Quick and easy to make, this St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock is a great way to decorate any space so that you’re ready for the festivities! St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner and we have a quick and easy craft to get you in the Shamrockin’ spirit! These Shamrocks can be used as decorations for a St. Patrick’s Day themed party or just to brighten up any room. You can hang them using ribbon, attach them directly to any surface using some adhesive, make a key chain and much more! We are showing you how to make one size, but you can change the measurements below to make larger or smaller Shamrocks. What You'll Need: Stiff Felt Sheets - 12” x 12” Ruler Rotary cutter or fabric scissors Hot glue gun and sticks Ribbon (optional) Instructions: 1. With your Stiff Felt Sheets , rotary blade and ruler , cut 4 strips measuring 1 inch wide by 12 inches long and 4 strips measuring 1 inch wide by 10 inches long. You should have a total of 8 strips. It's Friday!

Hello Readers!

The sun is shining, it's Friday and I'm drinking my coffee while writing this...yeah no complaints at the moment. I'm jumping up for joy internally, of course. There is something more special about this Friday...it's the first day of March!!!!! Now that really makes me happy. The weather is a clear indication of that, it's been snowing and raining for the past 3 days! So it's nice to see that mother nature has bestowed some sun our way and the weather has warmed up. Standing at -5 right now, that's pretty warm for us (referencing Canadian weather jokes) LOL

To me this just means spring is around the corner which ultimately leads to summer being not too far along!!! Ahhh just thinking about the sun, beaches, stuffing my winter jacket to the back of my closet. oh how life would be so grand :D (getting a little ahead of myself). Okay, back on track, soo there's a lot of exciting things going on here at The Felt Store, one of which I'll be talking about today!  It's one of my miscellaneous post where I talk about everything and anything, at the same time limiting myself so I don't completely bore you guys.

If you aren't already stalking our website, no worries, I've got you covered :P We have tons of new products on the store! Sewing products have been added, home decor, smaller felt squares...the list goes on so below is a good summary of what we've got going on!

To complete this random blog here is a great DIY home project for you to use your scrap materials that are  lying around!  Bugs and Fishes by Lupin has a great project for those odd pieces. Use them to make buttons! More specifically, cover the buttons with felt! Add them on to your shirts and it could be the exact pop of colour for an outfit or the perfect mix and match of texture! Definitely one of those "it's in the details" project to revamp your shirts!
